Fees and expenses

Estimated living expenses for international students are minimally 300 to 400 US dollars per month depending on the student’s way of living. Books and administrative fees are approximately 100 to 150 US dollars per semester.

Tuition Fees:

The tuition fee for the programs of higher education is determined by the Government at the beginning of each academic year. In 2003-2004 academic year, the tuition fees for international students varied depending on the nature of the program:
Annual tuition fees;

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS:

1. State Universities:

a) Universities where medium of instruction is TURKISH:

Turkish nationals: US $ 80 – 250
Foreign nationals: US $ 240 – 750

b) Universities where medium of instruction is ENGLISH:

Turkish nationals: US $ 150 – 500
Foreign nationals: US $ 450 – 1500

2. Foundation Universities:

US $ 5.000 – 12.000

GRADUATE PROGRAMS:

1. State Universities:

a) Universities where medium of instruction is TURKISH:

Turkish nationals: US $ 100 – 200
Foreign nationals: US $ 300 – 600

b) Universities where medium of instruction is ENGLISH:

Turkish nationals: US $ 200 – 300
Foreign nationals: US $ 600 – 900

2. Foundation Universities:

US $ 5.000 – 12.000

* Students from Turkish Republics and Turkish-originated countries (Azerbaijan, Bashkortostan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dagestan, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Mongolia, Moldova, Nahcevan, Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan, Tatarstan, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine) pay their tuition fees as Turkish nationals.

NOTE: Turkey has been suffering a high inflation rate during the last decade. However, the fees specified in Dollars remain almost the same.
