Atılım University is a foundation university with a public legal entity, founded in Ankara in 1996 by the Atılım Foundation.
It is one of the first six foundation universities to be fully accredited by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Board. It offers various undergraduate programs, including engineering, science and literature faculties.
